Principal Engineer

Dr David Perry is an experienced project manager responsible for the delivery of water and wastewater projects for municipal water authorities and regional Councils.

David has over twenty years of experience in the water industry in Australia, the UK and the Pacific. David has a sound understanding of project requirements based on his wide range of experience. He has served as a process engineer, lead design engineer, planning engineer, project manager and expert witness. He has contributed to all phases of project delivery including strategic planning, compliance negotiations, design, project delivery, process proving and optimisation.

David holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering based on his research and development into oxygen transfer and sludge digestion.

David is a highly motivated and engaged project manager with a sound understanding of water industry requirements. He is experienced in leading and co-ordinating project teams and has a clear style of communication.

Most recently David managed the Quipolly Water Project  team in assisting Liverpool Plains Shire Council in a review and update of the concept design, completing site investigation work including drone aerial survey and geotechnical investigations, preparing and submitting an REF, preparing D&C tender documentation and consulting with regulators as part of the NSW Section 60 approval process.

David is currently managing the Queanbeyan Sewage Treatment Plant Upgrade. The new 75,000 EP Queanbeyan STP provides for the continued growth and development of Queanbeyan and is designed to meet stringent environmental objectives for effluent discharge into the Molonglo River that flows into Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin.
