
Geoffrey Long
Geoffrey is a senior civil engineer with Hunter H2O with over 12 years’ experience. Geoff offers widespread experience in planning and investigation studies of water and wastewater systems, including the dynamic computer modelling of water and wastewater systems and catchment modelling. Geoffrey brings experience in reclaimed water investigation and conceptual design, integrated water cycle management, water resource management, asset management and hydrology.
Geoff led the Concept design of a Manilla Water Treatment Plant north of Tamworth in NSW. The works involved an options assessment, concept design, Review of Environmental Effects and specification of the scheme components, including two river off-takes and pumping stations, 4km of raw water pipeline, and a 3.5ML/d plant including sedimentation, filtration and dosing facilities. The total project value was estimated at around $20M. Geoff regularly undertakes planning, and strategic asset management advice for Namoi Councils, Water Authority of Fiji and Water PNG.
