Jason Sandford

Principal Civil Engineer

Jason has over 13 years undertaking civil design, project management and design management within the water industry. Recently, this has included Goulburn WWTP, Belmont 6 Rising Main, Maitland 14 Gravity Main Duplication, Parkes WTP, Parkes STP, Gordonbrook WTP and Kingaroy STP.

More recently Jason was the lead hydraulic and civil designer for the Goulburn WWTP (brownfield) detail design upgrade. This project involved a new high flow inlet works (maintaining the existing inlet works for lower flow scenarios), fine screen and stormflow pumping station, fine screenings, oxidation ditch, membrane operation system (comprising submerged membranes), UV facility, chemical facility, switch room, interconnecting pipelines and pumping stations.

Prior to this work, Jason was the lead civil designer for Gordonbrook WTP upgrade for South Burnett Regional Council. This project involved development of a concept design and tender specifications to enable a D&C Contractor to carry out the final design and construction. Jason was the civil representative that reviewed and consulted with council during the D&C phase to ensure that the design intent was put forward during the D&C phase. Gordonbrook WTP is a brownfield upgrade including new PAC contact tank, flocculation, lamella plate clarification, DAFF process units, associated chemical system upgrades and interconnecting pipework and electrical services. This project, along with the Kingaroy WWTP Upgrade, went on to achieve success for South Burnett Regional Council at the QLD AWA Excellence Awards, as well as the IPWEA QLD Excellence Awards presentations in 2016 and 2017.
