    • January 2019  – Hunter H2O is awarded Queanbeyan STP Upgrade project, which will replace Queanbeyan’s existing sewage treatment plant with a robust and sustainable facility that protects public health and the environment for future generations, valued at over $100M.
    • July 2019 – New Tamworth Office Grand Opening Launch technical event. 
    • October 2019 – Hunter H2O is Successful appointment as Water and Sewerage Services Consultant to Namoi Unlimited for the next three years.

    • This year we say thank you to former Managing Director, Jim Keary as he transitions into his Senior Fellow role within our Advisory group and we warmly welcome newly appointed Hunter H2O Managing Director, Peter Dennis.
    • Schneider Electric awards Hunter H2O as a new Australian Master Alliance Program Partner, ONE of only TEN companies globally.
    • Hunter Water and Hunter H2O’s Belmont and Cessnock WWTP Inlet Structures Remediation Works project is awarded the 2018 IPWEA NSW Excellence Award for Innovation Water and Sewer category.

    Hunter H2O facilitates Young Water Professionals Program on behalf of Australian Water Partnerships at the 2017 PWWA Conference and Expo in Samoa.

    Kingaroy WWTP awarded the Excellence and Innovation Award for the Water Category over $10M at  IPWEA Queensland Division awards.

    Ludmilla WWTP Upgrade Project receives Engineers Australia, Northern Division Most Outstanding Project excellence award.

    Successful bidders of Hunter Water Australia’s consulting and operations enterprise comprised 25 managers and senior staff as well as a group of private Australian investors who formed H2O Holdings Pty Ltd.

    Hunter Water Corporation has confirmed the sale of its subsidiary business Hunter Water Australia.

    Hunter H2O successfully delivered the first of many “Twinning” Capacity Building Partnerships in the Pacific region with Asian Development Bank. This
    partnering agreement included water and wastewater planning and feasibility studies, SCADA and telemetry upgrades, water treatment plant upgrades, design reviews, operations support and staff training – both in Australia and in the Pacifc Islands.

    Townsville Wastewater Upgrade Project receives:

    • Engineers Australia, Townsville Region Excellence Award for Project of the Year and High Commendation for Project Infrastructure over $50M Excellence award
    • Project Management Achievement Award, Queensland
    • Institute of Public Works Engineering, Queensland Excellence Award for the Water Category over $10M
    • IAPP Queensland Public Sector High Commendation excellence award

    Bray Park Water Treatment Plant receives:

    • Engineers Australia, Engineering Excellence Award
    • Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia, High Commendation excellence award

    Armidale Water Treatment Plant Ozone Upgrade receives Engineers Australia Infrastructure Excellence in Regional Communities excellence award.

    Hunter Water Australia’s Operations Contract extended to include six water treatment plants and 18 wastewater treatment plants by Hunter Water Corporation.

    We celebrate the enviable milestone of 20 successful years as one of Australia’s largest private, locally owned water industry specialists. Our humble beginnings commenced in 1998 where Hunter Water Australia Pty Ltd formed to provide water treatment, engineering, surveying and laboratory services. This also marks the year by Hunter Water Corporation awarded Hunter Water Australia the Operations Contract for six of its water treatment plants.
